A recent Heating Care Dumfries project saw us working to design a suitable heating system for a cottage near Kirkconnel.
With heat loss of less than 12kw, and the smallest boiler available being 12kw, we worked to find a solution which would provide all-year-round heating without incurring high running costs.
In this case, we installed a 400l thermal store from the boiler to a weathercompensated mixer unit, enabling the additional heat to be stored and released on demand for the client.
